On April 16, we are participating in KORMAT 2026, one of the key professional events dedicated to materials protection, corrosion, and industrial finishing technologies. The conference is organized by HDZaMa and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, bringing together experts from industry, academia, and engineering practice.
Advancing CUI Prevention Through a Systematic Approach

As part of the technical program, Sven Radimiri, AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (Cert. No. 106353), will deliver a presentation titled:
“A Systematic Approach to Preventing Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) in Industrial Equipment.”
Corrosion under insulation (CUI)
Corrosion under insulation (CUI) is one of the most critical challenges in maintaining industrial facilities, as it develops beneath insulation layers without visible signs, often remaining undetected until it leads to serious failures, safety risks, and costly repairs.
The presentation will highlight the importance of early risk identification, systematic inspection strategies, and the use of appropriate technological solutions to prevent and manage CUI.
Special emphasis will be placed on an integrated approach combining engineering design, proper material selection, advanced inspection methods, and continuous condition monitoring. Such an approach enables extended asset lifespan, improved operational safety, and optimized maintenance costs.
Participation in KORMAT 2026 provides an additional opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with relevant experts from across the region and beyond, as well as to showcase our expertise and innovations continuously developed and applied through its projects.
