GAS DEHYDRATION UNIT

Gas Dehydration

Natural gas dehydration is a crucial process in the hydrocarbon industry to remove moisture from gas and prevent issues such as pipeline corrosion and hydrate formation. Effective dehydration safeguards infrastructure, enhances system safety, and preserves the quality of delivered natural gas.

Our TEG-based gas dehydration unit provides an advanced and efficient solution for removing residual moisture from natural gas before it enters the transport system. Utilizing triethylene glycol (TEG) as a key component, this cutting-edge technology ensures exceptional gas dryness while meeting the strictest network regulations and emission standards.

How Gas Dehydration Unit Works

The gas dehydration unit is designed to remove residual moisture from natural gas through an advanced process involving three key components:

  1. Dehydration column and “dry” TEG cooler:
In this phase, natural gas flows through structured packing in contact with triethylene glycol (TEG), which effectively absorbs moisture, achieving the required level of gas dryness.
  2. Regeneration skid:
The moisture-laden TEG is directed to the regeneration skid, where it undergoes a heating process to separate and remove the absorbed water, restoring the TEG’s dehydration capacity.
  3. Pump and condensate recovery skid:
Energy-efficient pumps operating on the principle of energy exchange return the regenerated TEG to the dehydration column. Vapors generated during the regeneration process are cooled, allowing for the separation of residual gas. This recovered gas is then utilized as fuel for the reboiler burner, thereby minimizing atmospheric emissions and enhancing overall process efficiency.
